It depends on whether or not the canon AU timeline has canon content or not. If it's a fan made what if AU we would not allow it, but if it's a case of alternate timeline versions such as might happen in canons with time travel like Tokyo Revengers or Homestuck where the alternate timeline is canon and has sufficient material so that the character wouldn't be mostly headcanon that would be fine!
